Responsibilities- Able to complete all items as required by industrial electrician job classification.- Identify problems with equipment using verbal and written instructions.- Communicate repair parts requirements or other skills required for repair regarding failure to supervisor.- Do breakdown electrical/electronic repair maintenance to equipment in an expeditious manner.- Operate N/C, CNC equipment for testing and in the repair of the equipment.- Must be able to do major reconditioning of equipment controls as requested.- Document resolution and parts used for repair and input to proper file and/or computer.- Calibrate equipment according to manufacturer’s specifications.- Must be able to operate forklift and other wheeled vehicles in the department.

CNH Industrial currently has an opening for a 3rd shift Engineering Prototype Shop Technician to join our team. This is a full-time position at our Engineering Facility in New Holland, Pennsylvania.Position requires working with computer design drawings, engineering specifications, and verbal instructions to fabricate, machine, weld, assemble and rework a variety of prototype components, lab fixtures, and test vehicles. Successful candidate will enter into a comprehensive four-year training program consisting of on-the-job training and related home study courses.
- Diagnose mechanical failures & conduct repairs/part installations on prototype & current production agriculture equipment by referencing engineering prints & models, engineering specifications, & work order instructions.- Communicate highly technical information, both verbal & written to engineering staff through discussions and email.- Assist engineers in determining mechanical component or system failures of complex prototype vehicles.- Test equipment after reassembly to ensure proper functionality, and perform any adjustments as necessary.- Document work completed & techniques used in work order after project completion- Operate heavy equipment such as tractors, wheel loaders, forklifts, etc. for material handling purposes as well as test yard maintenance.
