Responsibilities

  1. Perform a combination of assembly line tasks to assemble structural parts and electrical components using hand tools and portable power tools.
  2. Perform Functional verification testing, make valve adjustments if required, work with FVS Operator to troubleshoot and fix defects identified by the FVS Test Platform, End of Line
  3. Sets electrical components on all models.
  4. Diagnose mechanical and electrical failures and repairs equipment components according to manuals and factory specifications using hand tools, power tools and testing instruments.
  5. Use computer software to diagnosis problems and verify specifications.
  6. Other duties as assigned.

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENT ASSESSMENT

               

NOTE:  In terms of a ten (10) hour workday, “Rarely” equals less than 1%, “Occasionally” equals 1% to 33%, “Frequently” equals 34% to 66%, “Continuously” equals 67% to 100%.

 

  1. In a 10-hour day, employee may sit: 15 minute duration cumulative to 2 hours.
  2. In a 10-hour day, employee may stand: 5 minute duration cumulative to 1 hour.
  3. In a 10-hour day, employee may walk: Moderate distances cumulative to 7 hours .
  4. Employee must lift: 5 lbs. frequently, 50 lbs. occasionally
  5. Employee must carry: same as lift for short distances
  6. Employee must push/pull: 40-50 lbs. occasionally
  7. Employee must use hands for:

Simple grasping:  occasionally                        

Firm grasping: frequently                 

Fine manipulation:  occasionally    

  1. Employee must use feet for operating foot controls: yes,  frequently

Bend / Stoop: frequently

  5. Does work require use of a negative pressure respirator? no
  6. Does work require employee to work on a ladder or platform? yes

Qualifications

  • High school education or GED.
  • Must have good attendance record.
  • Must be able to comprehend and follow through on verbal and written instructions.
  • Ability to read drawings to determine proper routing, torque specifications and components.
  • Knowledgeable and able to use torque tools, power and air hoists, lifting slings and chains.
  • Familiar with a variety of assembly jobs within the plant and the ability to learn new processes quickly.
  • Must be able to operate functional verification system.
  • Must have mechanical and electrical aptitude.
  • Must be flexible on work hours.
  • Must be able to work as a part of a team, interacting with Engineering personnel.
