As the Welding Team Leader, you will be responsible for providing leadership and oversight to 1st shift Welders. Responsibilities Include:- Maintain authorized schedules and keep the Supervisor or Manager advised of all situations which could adversely affect operations utilizing problem solving skills.- Complete safety audits, conduct risk assessments and lead safety improvements.- Ensure visual management standards are maintained and improved.- Assist with development of standardized work (SOS's) for all processes within team.- Lead team in continuous improvement projects to meet goals in downtime, scrap, and other initiatives that impact team's performance.- Lead and coordinate activities related to production needs and line balancing.- Lead training for all new and current team members.- Communicate teams' goals and achievement of safety, quality, production and morale items.- Hands on production work in Weld, filling in for team members in a production capacity.- Encourage team's participation in suggestion system.
